Profile of Dr Mohammad Razi-ul-Islam Nadwi
Born : 27 May 1964 | Bahraich, Uttar pradesh
Introduction: Dr. Muhammad Razi-ul-Islam Nadvi is a distinguished Indian author, researcher, translator, and expert in Islamic studies and medicine. He was born on May 27, 1964, in Rajapur, Bulbul Nawaz village of Bahraich district, Uttar Pradesh. His father was Muhammad Shafi Khan. He received his early education in his hometown and completed his secondary education from Markazi Darsgah Islami, Rampur.
In 1975, he enrolled at Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow, where he obtained his Alimiyyat degree in 1981 and Fazeelat in 1983. Later, he earned his BUMS degree in 1989 and MD in 1993 from Ajmal Khan Tibbia College, Aligarh Muslim University. Thus, he gained expertise in both religious and modern medical education.
Dr. Nadvi has been actively engaged in academic and literary services for several decades. He has participated in national and international seminars, published research papers, and produced high-quality Urdu translations of Arabic texts. From 1994 to 2011, he was associated with the Idara-e-Tahqiq-o-Tasneef Islami, Aligarh. Currently, he serves as Secretary of the Publishing Academy of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and as Assistant Editor of the quarterly journal Tahqiqat-e-Islami.
