Dr. Shahid Siddiqi, a renowned poet of Urdu was born in Walled City of Hyderabad-Daccan). Dr. Shahid Siddiqi graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad with a degree of Commerce (B.Com). In 1964 he went to London-UK to shape his professional career. After getting training in Public Accounting from London, Canadian Government invited him to Federal Capital of Canada known as Ottawa, where he started his successful professional life as well as his poetic journey. He attended various reputed poetry events organized by Government and non-Government Organizations. His poetry and articles also got published in various reputed Indo-Pak Urdu journals.Dr. Shahid Siddiqi is an author of several books on Canadian and U.S. taxes. He is also a well-known compiler of spiritual/religious book series OUR LIFE IN THE LIGHT OF ISLAM. His first Urdu poetry collection “ROODAD” and Short
Stories book in Urdu and English “ZAVIYE” when published has not only gained literary success but has also found its place in the hearts of his readers. Dr. Shahid Siddiqi’s beautiful ghazals directly touches the heart of his listeners. Apart from ghazals Dr. Shahid Siddiqi has also established himself in Nazm Nigari. Dr. Shahid Siddiqi has served many charitable organizations around the world. In 2006, he was an attendee at the United Nations Educational Scientific and cultural Organization (UNESCO) in France. He has attended several Global Conferences in China, Australia, Switzerland etc.
In addition, Dr. Mohammed Shahid Siddiqi is a recipient of the Bharat Gaurav Award, Certificate of Excellence, for meritorious services, outstanding
performance and remarkable role, on Global friendship day at New Delhi, India in 2009.
