तुझे शनाख़्त नहीं है मिरे लहू की क्या
मैं रोज़ सुब्ह के अख़बार से निकलता हूँ
मियाँ बाज़ार को शर्मिंदा करना क्या ज़रूरी है
कहीं इस दौर में तहज़ीब के ज़ेवर बदलते हैं
इतना नूर कहाँ से लाऊँ तारीकी के इस जंगल में
दो जुगनू ही पास थे अपने जिन को सितारा कर रक्खा है
तुम्हारे ख़्वाब लौटाने पे शर्मिंदा तो हैं लेकिन
कहाँ तक इतने ख़्वाबों की निगहबानी करेंगे हम
ख़ुद से फ़रार इतना आसान भी नहीं है
साए करेंगे पीछा कोई कहीं से निकले
