Once Akbar Allahabadi sent a bucket of Langra mangoes to the noted Urdu poet Allama Iqbal who lived in Lahore. Iqbal instantly acknowledged the receiving of the parcel with thanks. Akbar was a bit surprised with its safely receiving. The couplet narrates the whole occurrence.

allahabad se lañgDā chalā lahore tak pahuñchā
asar ye tere anfas-e-masihai ka hai 'akbar'
allahabad se langDa chala lahore tak pahuncha
