شاہد غیب ہویدا نہ ہوا تھا سو ہوا
حسن پر آپ نے شیدا نہ ہوا تھا سو ہوا
غمزۂ شوخ سیہ مست ترا مژگاں سے
قتل عاشق پہ صف آرا نہ ہوا تھا سو ہوا
ہنس کے وہ غنچہ دہن میری جگر خواری پر
کہہ دیا تیرا دلاسا نہ ہوا تھا سو ہوا
رشتۂ صاف نگہ میں ہو مسلسل آنسو
سینۂ یار میں مالا نہ ہوا تھا سو ہوا
سر سوداؔ پہ ترے شعر رسا سے آگاہؔ
سلسلہ حشر کا برپا نہ ہوا تھا سو ہوا
