About The Author

Hakim Muhammad Akbar Arzani (d. 1133 AH / 1721 CE) was a renowned physician in India who made significant contributions to Unani medicine. He received his education in Unani medicine from prominent scholars in Delhi and Lucknow and devoted his life to the study and teaching of this discipline. His writings provide detailed guidance on practical remedies, clinical experiences, and methods of treating various ailments, making his works valuable to both medical professionals and the general public. Hakim Akbar Arzani not only focused on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases but also provided comprehensive instructions on the preparation, dosage, and effects of different medicinal compounds. His most famous works include Tibb-e-Akbar, Mizan-e-Tibb, and Qarabadin-e-Akbari, which continue to hold an important place in the curriculum of Unani medicine today. His writings are notable for presenting medical knowledge in a clear and accessible language, allowing a wide audience to benefit from them.
