اگر مجھ کو زمیں ہونا پڑے گا
اگر مجھ کو زمیں ہونا پڑے گا
جہاں تم ہو وہیں ہونا پڑے گا
تمہیں یہ دنیا چومے گی ہمیشہ
مگر اس کی جبیں ہونا پڑے گا
جوانی کی محبت کا بھلا ہو
مجھے بوڑھا نہیں ہونا پڑے گا
خدا یکسانیت سے تھک نہ جائے
کسی کو بے یقیں ہونا پڑے گا
یہ شاعر کام پر لگ جائیں گے پھر
تمہیں کچھ کم حسیں ہونا پڑے گا
