ایسے بھی کچھ غم ہوتے ہیں
جو امید سے کم ہوتے ہیں
آگے آگے چلتا ہے رستہ
پیچھے پیچھے ہم ہوتے ہیں
راگ کا وقت نکل جاتا ہے
جب تک سر قائم ہوتے ہیں
باہر کی خشکی پہ نہ جاؤ
پتھر اندر نم ہوتے ہیں
ملنے کوئی نہیں آتا جب
اپنے آپ میں ہم ہوتے ہیں
چہروں کی تو بھیڑ ہے لیکن
سہی سلامت کم ہوتے ہیں
نظمیں غزلیں خط افسانے
اس کے نام رقم ہوتے ہیں
دل کے شیلف میں شاہدؔ کتنی
یادوں کے البم ہوتے ہیں
