عقل تھی آگہی نے مار دیا
دید کو روشنی نے مار دیا
ایک بیکس تھا جس کے خوابوں کو
اس کی بے چارگی نے مار دیا
ہم نے چاہا کہ بات بن جائے
زیست کی بے رخی نے مار دیا
دیکھ کر پانی مر گیا پیاسا
اس کو سچی خوشی نے مار دیا
تھا جو اپنا بنا وہ انجانا
پھر اسی اجنبی نے مار دیا
کیا تعجب کی کوئی بات نہیں
آدمی آدمی نے مار دیا
