بہت صبر آزما ایک ایک پل ہے
بتا اس مسئلہ کا کوئی حل ہے
میں فرزانوں کی صف میں کیوں کھڑا ہوں
یقیناً میرے سر میں کچھ خلل ہے
ہوا کیا اے نسیم صبح گاہی
جو مرجھایا ہوا دل کا کنول ہے
دروغ مصلحت آمیز ناداں
یہ ارباب سیاست کا عمل ہے
جو حاصل ہو شمیمؔ سخت جاں کو
بہت کافی سکوں کا ایک پل ہے
