ہمیں وقت نے چاہا جیسے نچایا
نہیں کر سکے ہم جو چاہت کو حاصل
تو حاصل تھا جو اس کو چاہت بنایا
مقابل ہمیشہ رہے چھوٹ کے ہم
زمانے نے ہم کو ہی چھوٹا بنایا
نہیں یہ تمہاری ہے غلطی ہماری
کہ جیسا تھا ویسا ہی چہرہ دکھایا
رہے دوڑ میں ہم ہمیشہ ہی پیچھے
ہمیں وقت کے ساتھ چلنا نہ آیا
