दर्द से जान चुराते हुए डर लगता है
दर्द से जान चुराते हुए डर लगता है
दिल को वीरान बनाते हुए डर लगता है
चार आँसू सर-ए-मिज़्गाँ तो कोई बार नहीं
ग़म की तौक़ीर घटाते हुए डर लगता है
लोग तो बात का अफ़्साना बना देते हैं
इस लिए लब भी हिलाते हुए डर लगता है
अपनी हस्ती से न हो जाऊँ कहीं बेगाना
आप से रब्त बढ़ाते हुए डर लगता है
हुस्न-ए-बे-पर्दा के जल्वे बहुत अर्ज़ां हैं मगर
तोहमत-ए-दीद उठाते हुए डर लगता है
अज़मत-ए-दैर-ओ-हरम का न भरम खुल जाए
सर तिरे दर पे झुकाते हुए डर लगता है
जिस के हर लफ़्ज़ में हों ग़म की कराहें 'मंशा'
ऐसा अफ़्साना सुनाते हुए डर लगता है
