دل شکستہ و پائمال رہے
ہم ترے ہجر میں نڈھال رہے
اپنے دو چار دن زمین پہ تھے
جن میں دوچار سو وبال رہے
زندگی کی رہی وہی تلخی
ہم اسی طرح خوش خصال رہے
ہم ہیں سازوں پہ ٹوٹتی سانسیں
جن سے نے سر بچے نہ تال رہے
ایک لمحے میں ہم نے عشق چنا
اور تا عمر پر ملال رہے
