فلک پر ایک تارہ رہ گیا ہے
فلک پر ایک تارہ رہ گیا ہے
یہی بس اک سہارا رہ گیا ہے
ادھورا پن لیے پھرتے ہیں اب تو
کہیں پر کچھ ہمارا رہ گیا ہے
نظر میں ہیں سمندر ہی سمندر
بہت پیچھے کنارہ رہ گیا ہے
کہاں وہ جا سکا تیرے نگر سے
جسے تو نے پکارا رہ گیا ہے
پڑھے فاروقؔ ہم نے سب مجلے
مگر دل کا شمارہ رہ گیا ہے
