hamāre dil meñ koī yaad hai to kis liye hai
ye dil jo yaad se ābād hai to kis liye hai
hamāre sar pe hī kyoñ āsmān TūTtā hai
zamīn kī koī buniyād hai to kis liye hai
vahī pahāḌ sī rāteñ vahī pahāḌ se din
agar kahīñ koī fariyād hai to kis liye hai
maiñ apne sar pe girā huuñ 'azāb ke mānind
mire liye koī uftād hai to kis liye hai
vo sāmne thā to har ik ko chup lagī huī thī
chalā gayā hai to fariyād hai to kis liye hai
mire vujūd pe bedād karne vāloñ kī
mire kalām pe ye daad hai to kis liye hai
hamare dil mein koi yaad hai to kis liye hai
ye dil jo yaad se aabaad hai to kis liye hai
hamare sar pe hi kyon aasman TuTta hai
zamin ki koi buniyaad hai to kis liye hai
wahi pahaD si raaten wahi pahaD se din
agar kahin koi fariyaad hai to kis liye hai
main apne sar pe gira hun 'azab ke manind
mere liye koi uftad hai to kis liye hai
wo samne tha to har ek ko chup lagi hui thi
chala gaya hai to fariyaad hai to kis liye hai
mere wujud pe bedad karne walon ki
mere kalam pe ye dad hai to kis liye hai
