ہر ایک لفظ میں پوشیدہ اک الاؤ نہ رکھ
ہے دوستی تو تکلف کا رکھ رکھاؤ نہ رکھ
ہر ایک عکس روانی کی نذر ہوتا ہے
ندی سے کون یہ جا کر کہے بہاؤ نہ رکھ
یہ اور بات زمانے پہ آشکار نہ ہو
مری نظر سے چھپا کر تو دل کا گھاؤ نہ رکھ
حصار ذات سے کٹ کر تو جی نہیں سکتے
بھنور کی زد سے یوں محفوظ اپنی ناؤ نہ رکھ
یہ انکسار مبارک شمیمؔ تجھ کو مگر
اب اتنا شاخ ثمر دار میں جھکاؤ نہ رکھ
