लोग जो हाल-ए-दिल-ए-चारातलब जानते हैं
किस की लौ ठहरती है कौन से बुझते हैं चराग़
हम नक़ीबान-ए-हवा सब के नसब जानते हैं
आश्ना लाख मिलें तुझ से क़रीं भी हूँ बहुत
जानने वाले भी ऐ दिल तुझे कब जानते हैं
किस के धोके में रहें मुंतज़िर-ए-ख़्वाब-ए-हसीं
हम भी सादा हैं कहाँ मोहलत-ए-शब जानते हैं
साया तक रखते हैं मलहूज़ दबिस्तान-ए-वफ़ा
आँख उठाएँ भी तो आदाब-ओ-अदब जानते हैं
कौन कठ-पुतली है ऐवान-ए-तमाशा किस का
पस-ए-पर्दा तो हक़ीक़त यहाँ सब जानते हैं
