صرف صحرا ہی کہاں ہے مجھ میں
کیا پتا جانے کہاں آگ لگی
ہر طرف صرف دھواں ہے مجھ میں
جشن ہوتا ہے وہاں رات ڈھلے
وہ جو اک خالی مکاں ہے مجھ میں
اجنبی ہو گئیں گلیاں میری
جانے اب کون کہاں ہے مجھ میں
ایک دن تھا جو کہیں ڈوب گیا
ایک شب ہے کہ جواں ہے مجھ میں
تم جسے ڈھونڈ رہے ہو اطہرؔ
اب وہ انسان کہاں ہے مجھ میں
