क्या कहिए दास्तान-ए-तमन्ना बदल गई
उन की बदलते ही दुनिया बदल गई
ये दौर-ए-इंक़िलाब है ख़ुद-नोशियों का दौर
हर मय-कदे में गर्दिश-ए-मीना बदल गई
हर फूल हर कली पे बरसता है अब लहू
रंगीनी-ए-बहार-ए-चमन क्या बदल गई
निखरी हुई बहार में छाले हैं ख़ूँ-चकाँ
अपने क़दम से क़िस्मत-ए-सहरा बदल गई
पैहम टपक पड़े जो ब-हसरत हुज़ूर-ए-दोस्त
इन आँसुओं से शरह-ए-तमन्ना बदल गई
आज़ादी-ए-जुनूँ का यही क्या मआल था
ज़िंदाँ से दिल-फ़रेबी-ए-सहरा बदल गई
वो ख़्वाब-ए-ज़िंदगी था जो हम देखते रहे
ऐ 'दिल' खुली जब आँख तो दुनिया बदल गई
