موت جادہ ہے موت منزل ہے
موت ہی زندگی کا حاصل ہے
غم کے عالم میں مسکرا دینا
مجھ کو آساں ہے تم کو مشکل ہے
اس کو خطرہ ہے ڈوب جانے کا
جس کی کشتی قریب ساحل ہے
میرا کردار میرا طرز عمل
میری محرومیوں میں شامل ہے
موت آتی ہے اس طرح بھی لئیقؔ
کوئی مقتول ہے نہ قاتل ہے
