میری دشمن ہے سادگی میری
کھا گئی مجھ کو عاجزی میری
ہونٹ کھولے تو قید بول گئی
بات پہلی تھی آخری میری
ڈر گیا تھا مرے اجالے سے
چھینی سورج نے روشنی میری
دھن سنی مور چنگ کی جب سے
مجھ سے روٹھی ہے بانسری میری
آپ کو شوق شہرتوں کا ہے
میرا سب کچھ ہے شاعری میری
بے وجہ تہمتوں سے بہتر ہے
چھین لو مجھ سے زندگی میری
جانتے ہو مرا مزاج ظفرؔ
سہہ نہ پاؤ گے دشمنی میری
