mere suKHan pe ek ehsan ab ke sal to kar
mire suḳhan pe ik ehsān ab ke saal to kar
tū mujh ko dard kī daulat se mālā-māl to kar
dil-e-azīz ko tere supurd kar diyā hai
tū dil lagā ke zarā us kī dekh bhaal to kar
ka.ī dinoñ se maiñ ik baat kahnā chāhtā huuñ
tū lab hilā to sahī haañ koī savāl to kar
maiñ ajnabī kī tarah tere paas se guzrā
ye kyā ta.alluq-e-ḳhātir hai kuchh ḳhayāl to kar
maiñ chaah kar bhī tire saath rah nahīñ pā.ūñ
tū mere ġham mirī majbūrī par malāl to kar
mere suKHan pe ek ehsan ab ke sal to kar

dil-e-aziz ko tere supurd kar diya hai
tu dil laga ke zara us ki dekh bhaal to kar
kai dinon se main ek baat kahna chahta hun
tu lab hila to sahi han koi sawal to kar
main ajnabi ki tarah tere pas se guzra
ye kya talluq-e-KHatir hai kuchh KHayal to kar
main chah kar bhi tere sath rah nahin paun
tu mere gham meri majburi par malal to kar
