نالہ کرنا کہ آہ کرنا
دل میں اثرؔ اس کے راہ کرنا
کچھ خوب نہیں یہ تیری باتیں
ہر چند مجھے نباہ کرنا
تیرا وہ جور یہ مرا صبر
انصاف سے ٹک نگاہ کرنا
کیا لطف ہے لے کے دل مکرنا
اور الٹے مجھے گواہ کرنا
رحمت کے حضور بے گناہی
مت شیخ کو رو سیاہ کرنا
جی اب کے بچا خدا خدا کر
پھر اور بتوں کی چاہ کرنا
کیا کہئے اثرؔ تو آپ ٹک دیکھ
یوں حال اپنا تباہ کرنا
