نگاہ شوق ترا حظ اٹھانا چاہوں گی
خیال خام تجھے آزمانا چاہوں گی
مری بھی مٹی وہی ہے کہ جو چناب کی ہے
سو جلدباز ہوں اور پار جانا چاہوں گی
تمہارے گھر کو سجاتی اگر سنبھل پاتی
بکھر گئی ہوں تو اب خاک اڑانا چاہوں گی
گھنے درخت تری مہربان چھاؤں میں
اداس شام کا اک گیت گانا چاہوں گی
اگرچہ ترک تعلق میں بھولنا بہتر
مگر میں پھر بھی تمہیں یاد آنا چاہوں گی
