قلم کو اس لئے تلوار کرنا
کہ بڑھ کے ظلم پر ہے وار کرنا
ملی ہے زندگی تو ہم نے سوچا
ہمیں کیسا یہاں کردار کرنا
بھلا پہلے ہی پتھر کیوں بچھائے
اگر تھا راستہ ہموار کرنا
جہاں پر ماں کو گہری نیند آئی
اسی مٹی کا ہے دیدار کرنا
صباؔ ہے آزمائش کا تسلسل
کہ دریاؤں پہ دریا پار کرنا
