رہ جنوں میں کبھی کامیاب ہم بھی تھے
رہ جنوں میں کبھی کامیاب ہم بھی تھے
کبھی حوالۂ دشت و سراب ہم بھی تھے
تری نگاہ نے گوہر بنا دیا ورنہ
حصار موج میں مثل حباب ہم بھی تھے
جنوں نے ہم کو بھی بخشی تھی شان دربدری
جہان فکر میں خانہ خراب ہم بھی تھے
ہمارے ظرف کو رتبوں سے تولنے والو
اسی دیار میں عزت مآب ہم بھی تھے
اندھیرے ہو گئے منسوب ہم سے اب ورنہ
اس آسماں میں کبھی آفتاب ہم بھی تھے
