تھا جہاں مدرسۂ شیری و شاہنشاہی
آج ان خانقہوں میں ہے فقط روباہی
نظر آئی نہ مجھے قافلہ سالاروں میں
وہ شبانی کہ ہے تمہید کلیم اللہٰی
لذت نغمہ کہاں مرغ خوش الحاں کے لیے
آہ اس باغ میں کرتا ہے نفس کوتاہی
ایک سرمستی و حیرت ہے سراپا تاریک
ایک سرمستی و حیرت ہے تمام آگاہی
صفت برق چمکتا ہے مرا فکر بلند
کہ بھٹکتے نہ پھریں ظلمت شب میں راہی
