MORE BYAbbas Tabish

vo chāñd ho ki chāñd chehra koī to ho

in khiḌkiyoñ ke paar tamāshā koī to ho

logo isī galī meñ mirī umr kaT ga.ī

mujh ko galī meñ jānñe vaalā koī to ho

mujh ko to apnī zaat isbāt chāhiye

hotā hai aur mere alāva koī to ho

jis samt jā.iye vahī dariyā hai sāmne

is shahr se farār rasta koī to ho

apne sivā bhī maiñ koī āvāz sun sakūñ

vo barg-e-ḳhushk ho ki parinda koī to ho

yuuñ ḳhayāl aatā hai bāñhoñ ko dekh kar

in Tahniyoñ pe jhūlne vaalā koī to ho

ham is udheḌ-bun meñ mohabbat na kar sake

aisā koī nahīñ magar aisā koī to ho

mushkil nahīñ hai ishq maidān mārnā

lekin hamārī tarah nihattā koī to ho

wo chand ho ki chand sa chehra koi to ho

in khiDkiyon ke par tamasha koi to ho

logo isi gali mein meri umr kaT gai

mujh ko gali mein jaanne wala koi to ho

mujh ko to apni zat ka isbaat chahiye

hota hai aur mere alawa koi to ho

jis samt jaiye wahi dariya hai samne

is shahr se farar ka rasta koi to ho

apne siwa bhi main koi aawaz sun sakun

wo barg-e-KHushk ho ki parinda koi to ho

yun hi KHayal aata hai banhon ko dekh kar

in Tahniyon pe jhulne wala koi to ho

hum is udheD-bun mein mohabbat na kar sake

aisa koi nahin magar aisa koi to ho

mushkil nahin hai ishq ka maidan marna

lekin hamari tarah nihatta koi to ho
