جانے کس پردۂ جمال میں ہے
چاہتے ہو تو ٹوٹ کر چاہو
خود جواب آپ کے سوال میں ہے
ہاں مرا فن کمال کو پہونچا
زیست لیکن مری زوال میں ہے
فکر کیا سرخ رو ہو یا ٹوٹے
دل مرا ان کی دیکھ بھال میں ہے
کیا ضروری ہے ہم جواب ہی دیں
ایک تلوار چپ کی ڈھال میں ہے
ان کو فرصت کہاں جو یہ سوچیں
بانوؔ امسال کس وبال میں ہے
