یوں موسموں کے ساتھ بھی لڑنا ضرور تھا
یوں موسموں کے ساتھ بھی لڑنا ضرور تھا
لیکن شجر تھا میں تو اجڑنا ضرور تھا
اب مضطرب ہیں لمس سے محروم انگلیاں
بچپن میں تتلیوں کو پکڑنا ضرور تھا
تقدیر میں بھی لکھا تھا اک پیاس کا سفر
دریا بھی میری راہ میں پڑنا ضرور تھا
رہتے بھی کتنی دیر ہواؤں کے دوش پر
ہر تیر کو زمین پہ گرنا ضرور تھا
کیفیؔ ہمیں بھی کچھ تو مسافت کا علم تھا
اک سنگ میل راہ میں گڑنا ضرور تھا
