Be faithful to all the sorrows of loyalty so we may believe in deception too
Say something to me my dearest one, so we may believe in deceit too
ye dayār-e-shīsha-farosh hai yahāñ ā.inoñ kī bisāt kyā
yahāñ is tarah se rakho qadam ki fareb meñ bhī yaqīn ho
What is the strength of glass in this city of mirror-sellers
Step in here in such a manner so we may believe in deceit too
mirī chāhatoñ meñ ġhurūr ho dil-e-nā-tavāñ meñ surūr ho
tumheñ ab ke khānā hai vo qasam ki fareb meñ bhī yaqīn ho
Let there be pride in my loves and intoxication in my frail heart
This time you must take that vow so we may believe in deceit too
yahī baat kah do pukār ke vahī silsile raheñ pyaar ke
isī naaz meñ rahe phir bharam ki fareb meñ bhī yaqīn ho
Announces it out loud so that the series of love remain the same
So I may believe in the myth that there can be belief in deceit too
mire 'ishq kā ye me'yār ho ki visāl bhī na shumār ho
isī e'tibār pe ho karam ki fareb meñ bhī yaqīn ho
May the standard of my love be such and union so immeasurable
And the favours of trust be such that we may believe in deceit too
mire intizār ko kyā ḳhabar tumheñ iḳhtiyār hai is qadar
mujhe do salīqa ye kam se kam ki fareb meñ bhī yaqīn ho
Little does may patience know that you have such boundless rights
Grant me at least enough grace so we may believe in deceit too
jahāñ zikr-e-mehr-o-vafā mile vahīñ 'indirā' kā qalam chale
ye kitāb-e-'ishq meñ ho raqam ki fareb meñ bhī yaqīn ho
Let Indira weild her pen only where there is talk of mercy and loyalty
Let it be inscribed in the Book of Love so we may believe in deceit too
