allāh kī qudrat kā tamāshā nazar aave
ai nāqa-e-lailā do qadam raah ġhalat kar
majnūn-e-za-ḳhud-rafta kabhū raah par aave
Tuk baad mire mere taraf-dāroñ kane tū
koī bhejiyo zālim ki tasallī to kar aave
kyā zarf hai gardūn-e-tunak-hausla kā jo
āshob-e-fuġhāñ ke mire ohde se bar aave
mumkin nahīñ ārām de betābi jigar kī
jab tak na palak par koī TukḌā nazar aave
mat mumtahin-e-bāġh ho ai ġhairat-e-gulzār
gul kyā ki jise aage tire baat kar aave
khulne meñ tire muñh ke kalī phāḌe garebāñ
hilne meñ tire hoñToñ ke gul-barg tar aave
ham aap se jaate rahe haiñ zauq-e-ḳhabar meñ
ai jān-ba-lab-āmada rah tā ḳhabar aave
kahte haiñ tire kūche se 'mīr' aane kahe hai
jab jāniye vo ḳhāna-ḳharāb apne ghar aave
hai jī meñ ġhazal-dar-ġhazal ai tab.a ye kahiye
shāyad ki nazīrī ke bhī ohde se bar aave

mat mumtahin-e-bagh ho ai ghairat-e-gulzar
gul kya ki jise aage tere baat kar aawe
khulne mein tere munh ke kali phaDe gareban
hilne mein tere honTon ke gul-barg tar aawe
hum aap se jate rahe hain zauq-e-KHabar mein
ai jaan-ba-lab-amada rah ta KHabar aawe
kahte hain tere kuche se 'mir' aane kahe hai
jab jaaniye wo KHana-KHarab apne ghar aawe
hai ji mein ghazal-dar-ghazal ai taba ye kahiye
shayad ki naziri ke bhi ohde se bar aawe
