ہر ایک خواب کی میعاد
طے ہونی چاہیے
چاہے پورا ہو
یا ادھورا ہو
ایک جنون کی ایک عمر
طے ہونی چاہیے
اس کے فراق یا پانے میں
جینے میں یا گنوانے میں
صبر اور کوشش کی ایک حد
طے ہونی چاہیے
گر یہ ہوتا تو کچھ آسان ہو جاتا
بے حساب امید کا دائرہ کھنچ جاتا
خوابوں کے اگنے کے لیے بھی آخر
کچھ جگہ ہونی چاہیے
