Much is not known about Faaiz Delhwi. Kareemuddin is the only one who has mentioned him in brief. His real name was Sadauddin Khan.  He had been one of the Mansabdaars of Delhi and also a poet of Persian. Like other poets of his era, he too was influenced by the Deewan of Wali Dakani and he revisited his Deewan in 1729, which he had completed by 1715. His Urdu poetry consists of many ghazals and also some masnawees. For most of his ghazals, he had the same base as that of Wali Dakani.
