Syed Md. Sharaf Nazim Hussain, pen name “Ummaan,” was born on 20 September 2002 and hails from Bihar Sharif, district Nalanda (Bihar). He has completed his graduation in Science from Patliputra University. He has a deep interest in the Urdu language and literature, especially in ghazal and classical poetry.

His ghazals have been published in the literary magazine “Zabaan-o-Adab” of the Bihar Urdu Academy, which has further strengthened his literary inclination. He aspires to play an active role in promoting the tradition and cultural heritage of Urdu literature.
