About the author - Tariq Chattari was born on 1 October 1954 in Chattari, District Bulandshahr in UP. He received MA (Urdu) and PhD from Muslim University, Aligarh and was appointed as Program Ex-Quitor in All India Radio (Gorakhpur), then he was transferred to Urdu Service, New Delhi in 1989. Later, he was appointed as Lecturer in Muslim University, Aligarh in February 1993 and still holds the post of Readership. Tariq Chattari's first work is 'Jadid Afsanah', which was published in 1992. After that, in 2001, his fiction collection 'Bagh Ka Darwaza' came out, which contains 19 stories.
