تیری دہلیز تک جو آیا تھا
دل ہی دل میں تو مسکرایا تھا
ایک کے بعد ایک چل ہی دئے
جسم بھی روح سا پرایا تھا
تم جہاں بھی رہو ادب سے رہو
کچھ بزرگوں نے یہ سکھایا تھا
کیسے کرتا میں دل کی باتوں کو
مجھ پہ خاموشیوں کا سایا تھا
تو ہی مجھ کو بتا دے اے چیتنؔ
کون میرے قریب آیا تھا
