A prayer, benediction; a call, invitation, convocation, call or invitation to Mohammadanism; invitation to a repast or feast; fare, repast, feast, banquet; invocation (of spirits), exorcism;—pretension, claim:—daʻwat denā = daʻwat karnā, q.v.:—daʻwat-ě-samarqand, s.f.
