P فرسا farsā [rt. & imperf. part. of farsūdan, far = Zend fra = S. प्र;+sūdan, rt. Zend śā = S. शा (शो, श्यति)], part. Wearing, rubbing; obliterating, effacing; worn, obliterated, old (used as last member of compounds, e.g. jān-farsā, 'distracting, or wearing out, the mind').
