گيتي getī, or gītī
P گيتي getī, or gītī [old P. gaitha; Pehl. gehān; Zend gaêtha, fr. gi; see jahān], s.f. The world, the universe:—gītī-ārāʼe, adj. & s.m. World-adorning;—the ornament of mankind:—gītī-afroz, or gītī-faroz, adj. World-inflaming; world-illumining; an epithet of the sun:—gītī-sitān, s.m. Conqueror (or emperor) of the world:—gītī-naward, adj. & s.m. Who (or one who) has travelled over the world;—the sun;—an epithet of Alexander the Great.
