گويا goyā imperf. part. of guftan, q.v.

P گويا goyā (imperf. part. of guftan, q.v.). = P گويان goyān, vulg. goyāṅ [goy, rt. of guftan+Zend ana = S. अन], part. adj. & s.m. Saying, speaking;—conversible; talkative, loquacious; eloquent;—a speaker; a singer;—adv. As you (or as one) would say, as it were, as though, so to speak; thus, in this manner:—goyā honā, v.n. To speak, to begin to speak.

گويائي goyāʼī

P گويائي goyāʼī [goyā, q.v.+ī = Zend i = S. इ], s.f. The act of speaking; speech, conversation, talk; eloquence.

گيا गया gayā

H گيا गया gayā [perf. part. of jānā, and=Prk. गमिदओ; S. गम+इत+कः, rt. गम्], part. adj. (f. gaʼī), Gone; past:—gayā-bītā (f. gaʼī-bītī), or gayā-guẕrā (f. gaʼī-guẕrī) adj. Past and gone;—worthless, useless:—gayā-gawāyā, adj. Lost and gone; stolen:—gaʼe darje, adv. At most; at least:—gaʼī karnā or kar-jānā (-ko), To allow to pass unnoticed (an offence, &c.); to pass over, to overlook; to connive at;—to fail to do, to neglect.

گايا गाया gāyā

H گايا गाया gāyā [S. गव्य+कः], adj. Of or belonging to, or coming from, a cow (i.q. gāwā):—gāyā ghī, s.m. Ghee made of cow's milk.
