H کيا किया kiyā [perf. part. of karnā; and=Ap. Prk. किया and कइओ, Prk. करितओ, or कलिट्ओ=S. कर+इत+कः], part. (f. kiʼī, and kī), Done, performed, &c. (see karnā);—s.m. Action, deed; doings.

کيا क्या kyā

H کيا क्या kyā [for kiʼā = kihā = Ap. Prk. केहो=Prk. केद्दहो=S.कीट्टशः], interrog. pron. (obl. kāhe), What? how? why? (The form is the same in both numbers, e.g. kyā hai, 'What is it?';—kyā haiṅ, 'what are they?'; kyā is often the sign of interrogation at the beginning of a sentence, like the Persian āyā and the Latin an or num, and is, like them, untranslated when in such a position);—conj. Whether, or;—intj. What! how!:—kyā aććhā, How fine! well done! bravo! &c. (see kyā-ḵẖūb): kyā bāt hai, It is a matter of no significance or importance;—it goes without saying, what need to mention it, not a doubt of it;—well done! bravo!:—kyā jāne, or kyā jāniye, What does one know? who knows? perhaps:—kyā ćīz hai, or kyā ḵẖāk hai, What great thing is it? it's a mere nothing, or a mere trifle:—kyā ḵẖūb, How excellent! how fine! bravo! well done! what a joke! what next!:—kyā g̠am hai, or kyā muẓāyaqa, What matter! never mind! there is no harm:—kyārī, Eh, woman!:—kyā kućh, What all? what not? something extraordinary:—kyā kahe to, For example, thus:—kyā—ki? utrum—an? is this the case or that? کايا काया kāyā

H کايا काया kāyā [S. काय+का], s.f. The body; appearance; person:—kāyā-palaṭ, s.m. 'Change of body'; the recovering freshness and healthiness of appearance (after sickness); an elixir or aphrodisiac for restoring the old to youth;—transmigration:—kāyā palatnā (apnī), To recover freshness and healthiness of look (after sickness); to undergo transmigration, to transmigrate:—kāyā-kashṭ, s.m. Bodily pain, bodily toil or labour:—kāyā-kalap, s.m. Restoring youth by means of certain medicines, &c. (see kāyā-palaṭ).
