A مقدور maqdūr (pass. part. of قدر 'to have power or ability to do or accomplish,' &c.), s.m. 'What one is able to do or accomplish,' &c.; power, ability; capacity;—means, resources;—presumption, presumptuousness:—maqdūr-bhar, or tā-maqdūr, or tā-ba-maqdūr, or ḥattaʼl-maqdūr, adv. To the best of (one's) power or ability;—with all (one's) might:—maqdūr na rakhnā (-kā), Not to possess the power or ability (for), to be unable (to):—maqdūr-wālā, s.m. A man of means or resources, a rich or wealthy man; a capitalist:—uskā baṛā maqdūr hai, He has great presumption; it is very presumptuous on his part (to, jo, or ki, &c.);—be-maqdūr, adj. Powerless, helpless; incompetent;—without means or resources, penniless; insolvent:—hasbuʼl-maqdūr, adv. According to (one's) power or ability.
