A معدوم maʻdūm (pass. part. of عدم 'to be wanting, not to be found, not to exist'), part. adj. Lacking, wanting, not found, not existing, non-existent, lost, extinct; abolished; annihilated:—maʻdūm karnā, v.t. To make or render non-existent or extinct;—to annihilate:—maʻdūm honā, v.n. To be lacking or wanting, not to be found; to fail, cease; to be extinct.
