A مختلف muḵẖtalif (act. part. of اختلف 'to disagree, differ' (from), &c., viii of خلف 'to follow,' &c.), adj. Different, dissimilar, unlike; diverse; discordant; various; conflicting; incongruous; heterogeneous:—muḵẖtalifuʼl-aẓlāʻ, adj. Of unequal sides, scalene (triangle):—muḵẖtalif auqāt-meṅ, At different times:—muḵẖtalif-fīh, In which there is disagreement.
