A عرش ʻarsh (inf. n. of عرش 'to construct a house,' &c.), s.m. A roof; a canopy; the highest (the ninth) sphere, the empyrean (where the throne of God is); a throne, chair of state:—ʻarsh-par damāg̠ honā, v.n. To be very self-conceited; to be proud or haughty:—ʻarsh-pe ćaṛhānā (-ko), To raise (one) to the dais, to seat one in the chair of state; to raise (one) to a high seat or rank, to exalt; to laud or praise to the skies:—ʻarsh-se-le tā ba-farsh, or ʻarsh-se-le farsh-tak, From the highest heaven to the earth:—ʻarsh-ě-muʻallā, or ʻarsh-ě-barīn, s.m. The highest heaven, the empyrean.
