Profile of Ali Imam Naqvi
Born :Meerut, Uttar pradesh
Ali Imam Naqvis is a noted fiction writer of modern times. He was born on 09 November, 1945. His father, Ameer Haider was a prosperous businessman. Naqvi could not continue his education beyond matriculation and joined his father’s business which he later abandoned and joined Iranian Consulate as a clerk. He started writing around 1970. Khiltey Huwey Bil was his first story that brought him to notice of literary readers. In 1980, he published his first story collection entitled Naye Makaan ki Deemak. He published four collections later: Mubahilah, Ghat’te Badhtey Saaye, Mausam azaabon Ka, and Kahi Unkahi. Naqvi also wrote novels called Teen Batti ke Rama and Bisaat. His last novel is a fine portrayal of the city of Bombay. Naqvi passed away on March 10, 2014.
