Profile of Fatima Hasan
Real Name : Bagum Fatima Hasan

The accomplished writer Begum Fatima Hasan (1940–1998) authored six books. In addition, she was associated with several Urdu programs of All India Radio, Lucknow, and her writings were regularly published in well-known magazines and journals.
Three of her books are based on short stories: Chautha Shohar, Awara Bagule, and Gul-o-Khaar. Besides these, Qabaili Kahaniyan is a collection of engaging stories written for children.
She also edited and published, after his demise, two books of her respected father, Professor Syed Muhammad Zamin Ali, Ghazliyat-e-Zamin and Majmua-e-Qasaid-o-Salaam.
Professor Syed Muhammad Zamin Ali laid the foundation of the Department of Urdu at Allahabad University and served as its chief patron. He was a renowned poet, author, and educationist. In recognition of his services to the Urdu language and literature and its promotion, the Government of India’s Department of Posts issued a commemorative postage stamp in his name in 1980.Tagged Under
