शो’ला, मुन्शी बनवारी लाल (1847-1903) मिर्ज़ा ग़ालिब के महबूब शागिर्द (मिर्ज़ा) हरगोपाल ‘तफ़्ता’ और उनके एक और शागिर्द बाल मुकुंद ‘बेसब्र’ के तलामिजा (शागिर्दों) में थे, और इस निस्बत से ग़ालिब की सोहबत भी उठाई। कमसिनी में शे’र कहने लगे। बात से बात पैदा करने का हुनर जानते थे।
