About The Author
Name Riaz Fatima, pen name Tashheer, was born in Hyderabad on July 5, 1951. She is the granddaughter of Ghulam Sajjad Ashhar, A poet famous for writing Marsia (elegy). She holds an MA in Urdu and Persian and PhD degrees from Usmania University. She started writing poetry at the age of ten. She is also a very good Public speaker and an active member of “ Mehfil e Khwateen , the Women's Literary Association of Hyderabad. She has two books to her credit: "Risai Shayari aur Khwateen e Hyderabad” 2008 and " Najm Affandi ki Shakhsiyat aur Shayari”, 2005, for which she was awarded by the Andhra Pradesh Urdu Academy.
